Dominik Hennen has been Member of the Management Board of PB Versicherung AG, PB Lebensversicherung AG and PB Pensionsfonds AG as well as Member of Management Board of Talanx Deutschland Bancassurance GmbH and Talanx Deutschland Bancassurance Kundenservice GmbH since January 2017. Since April 2015 he is Member of the Supervisory Board of Talanx Pensionsmanagement AG. Beginning of 2019 he was nominated as Member of the Supervisory Board of Danica Pension in Sweden.
In his current position Dominik is responsible for marketing and sales support for the exclusive bancassurance cooperation with Postbank AG as one of the leading retail banks in Germany. This includes servicing more than 1,750 customer advisors in the branch offices of Postbank, more than 2,500 mobile sales partners and about 20,000 brokers in third-party sales channel of Postbank and its affiliates enabling them to sell life insurance products to Postbank’s customers.
Dominik is a Member of Talanx Innovation and Digitization Board and as such responsible for pursuing the digital transformation of Talanx Group. He maintains relationships with FinTechs in order to elaborate on potential cooperation with Talanx. One core initiative he currently works on deals with piloting a potential ecosystem for Talanx.
Until 2014 Dominik was head of Strategy Talanx Germany with direct reporting line to the Chairman of the management board of Talanx Deutschland AG. He was responsible for corporate development and strategic project portfolio management with focus on property insurance business and life, including occupational pension schemes. In this role he headed Talanx Germany’s major transformation program “KuRS” (German acronym for Customer-oriented Trend-setting Stable) with approx. 200 projects and about 500 employees. The program was launched in January 2015 with the purpose of improving market competitiveness of the German Retail and Corporate Insurance business.
Prior to his career at Talanx, Dominik worked for McKinsey & Company from 2007 to 2014 where he started his professional career. For McKinsey, Dominik executed projects with emphasis on the financial services sector. His projects covered amongst others establishment of a joint venture between an European insurer and a German car manufacturer, a large scale restructuring project for an European insurance company as well as realignment of the Private and Corporate customer business of a major German bank.
Dominik is a former sport professional who played basketball for Opel Skyliners, Frankfurt, where he became German Basketball Champion in the first league in 2004.
Dominik has a Doctorate in finance at the chair of Professor Hackethal at J.W.-Goethe University, Frankfurt (doctoral thesis: “The portfolio performance of household investors on the stock market”). He holds a MBA of Henry B. Tippie School of Management, University of Iowa and a Master degree in economics from the J.W. Goethe University, Frankfurt.
