We aimed to host a melting pot of international finance experts again at the Digital Finance Conference 2020 in Berlin. Nevertheless, after balancing all current events, we decided that #digifin20 cannot take place as planned. Due to recent and ongoing developments caused by Covid-19, we can no longer ensure a secure conference. Therefore, we postpone the Digital Finance Conference to next year.

Since 1 January, anyone who holds crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin, Ripple, Litecoin or IOTA in safekeeping for customers requires a permit from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).  The Digital Association Bitkom has pointed this out and at the same time published an information paper "Regulatory requirements for crypto-custodians".

Mirjam Staub-Bisang is Managing Director, Country Head of BlackRock Switzerland and a member of the EMEA Executive Committee as well as a Senior Advisor to BlackRock Sustainable Investing (BSI). She will be a Speaker at the Digital Finance Conference 2020, held on 27 & 28 May in Berlin. In this portrait she and the importance of her work as Senior Advisor Sustainable Investments for the world's largest asset manager will be introduced.

Also during the New Year holidays, the Digital Finance Conference team was active and eagerly won the first speakers for #digifin20. From now on you will find the first international speakers of this year's conference on our website.
